I thought about this thing for years now. Every time i hit the road, looking for something new, i get so disappointed how every highway exit just looks like the last one. How the Ikea, Toys R Us, H&Ms and McDonalds are getting like the background in old movies or cartoons repeating and repeating.
It doesn’t matter anymore where you are
It doesn’t matter what you wear
It doesn’t matter how you decorate your rooms
it always looks he same.
It made me think of the GDR system and their approach on economy with standardized products to keep the costs low. Everybody said they hated it to have no choice.
Tragic what their choices lead to.
